Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) N.B. for non-EU/EFTA applicants: the gap since your completed Bachelor degree should not exceed five years. Applicants may be invited to a remote motivational interview, during which their basic knowledge of Mathematical Analysis, Linear Algebra, Probability Theory, and Mathematical Statistics may be assessed. Important: additional country-specific requirements are set only for the following countries which you can find HERE (STEP 2). The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Lithuanian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Translation is considered to be official when it is bound together with the certified true copy of the original document and is confirmed by the translator’s signature. Documents issued in English, Lithuanian must be certified true copies and do not require translation. |

Overview
High-profile education in financial and actuarial mathematics with an emphasis on the theoretical foundation of various methods and techniques of probability theory, stochastic analysis, risk theory, and related fields. Graduates of the programme are qualified to analyze and solve problems in theoretical models of finance and insurance, with the implementation of obtained solutions in practice.
Career opportunities
Work in the insurance companies, banks, pension and investment funds, consulting firms, government agencies, etc. (e.g., as actuaries, financial analysts, risk assessors, consultants both for Lithuanian and foreign institutions supervising financial and insurance markets).
The graduates can also pursue further studies at the doctoral level in Mathematics and/or Statistics.
