Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) N. B. for non-EU/EFTA applicants: The gap since your completed Bachelor degree should not exceed five years. No less than 20 ECTS credits in the fields of microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and optional courses in the fields of economics, business and management; or at least 3 years of professional experience and a free-form statement from the employer, indicating the length of employment and the position held. Important: additional country-specific requirements are set only for the following countries which you can find HERE (STEP 2). If your qualification and motivation meet the requirements, you will receive an invitation for an interview with the Admissions Committee. Applicants to the study programme Finance and Banking (in Lithuanian and English) are awarded an additional point for passing the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) exam. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Lithuanian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Translation is considered to be official when it is bound together with the certified true copy of the original document and is confirmed by the translator’s signature. Documents issued in English, Lithuanian must be certified true copies and do not require translation. |

Overview
• This programme is focused on analytical skills and preparation for Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) exams.
• Critically evaluate economic and financial theories and research methods, to provide sufficient knowledge needed for analysis of financial problems at a macroeconomic level and to make grounded decisions at the highest financial management level;
• Introduce to the role, development, aims and objectives of international financial institutions and financial markets globally;
• Provide theoretical and practical knowledge needed for improvement of budgetary system and taxation policy in the face of national and global economic changes;
• Provide scientific and methodical knowledge needed for independent organization’s financial analysis and financial risks’ assessment and management, while taking into account macro and micro environmental changes.
• Introduce the main topics of CFA Institute material and prepare students for CFA exams.
Programme structure
The study programme is conducted remotely on weekday evenings from 5:45 PM to 9:00 PM (Lithuanian time) via the MS Teams platform. However, the defense of the Master’s thesis will take place on campus, meaning all students must be physically present in Lithuania on the day of their thesis defense.
During each semester, 4-5 different subjects are studied (the studies are conducted in modules, with 1-2 subjects studied simultaneously, and new ones started after completing them). The Master’s thesis is defended in three stages, in first, second and third semesters.
