Overview

This study programme is devoted to students who wish to gain an in-depth knowledge of semiconductor photonics and nanotechnologies in order to master the physics, fabrication and characterisation techniques of organic and inorganic solid-state light sources, solar cells, sensors and hybrid devices. This programme has a proven strong track record of the successful employment of graduates in the high-tech industry and in further PhD studies, both in Lithuania and abroad.

Career opportunities

Graduates can work as researchers at universities, institutes and companies working in the fields of applied sciences, innovations and electronic technologies.
The Faculty of Physics at Vilnius University offers both Materials Engineering (08T) and Physics (02P) third-level (PhD) studies.
