| Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) N. B. for non-EU/EFTA applicants: The gap since your completed Bachelor degree should not exceed five years. University Bachelor’s degree in the fields of Life Sciences and Physical Sciences. In case Bachelor degree is in different fields from the mentioned above, students will be asked to take bridge courses and pass the following exams: Molecular Biology of Cell, Physiology of Plants and Animals, Biological Resources, Meteorology, and Climatology, Hydrology Important: additional country-specific requirements are set only for the following countries which you can find HERE (STEP 2). If your qualification and motivation meet the requirements, you will receive an invitation for an interview with the Admissions Committee. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Lithuanian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. Translation is considered to be official when it is bound together with the certified true copy of the original document and is confirmed by the translator’s signature. Documents issued in English, Lithuanian must be certified true copies and do not require translation. |

Overview
This programme provides the latest theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of ecology for the successful preservation and recovery of our natural and semi-natural ecosystems. Students learn to assess the balance of terrestrial ecosystems and propose decisions enabling sustainability. They will develop competences in relation to the use of inland waterways and terrestrial natural resources. This will include the possibility of ecological communities being able to adapt to the changing climate and environmental conditions. Graduates of the programme will be able to organise and carry out research and provide consultancy when the impact of globalisation on biological diversity and human health has to be evaluated and action is required in the area of ecology in terms of practical applications and/or research.
Career opportunities
Careers in organizations operating in the area of ecology. You will gain the knowledge and skills necessary for work in foreign and Lithuanian institutions and organizations that take care of the quality of the environment and protect natural resources.
Environmental expert. This education will enable you to take the position of an expert or controller in the area of environmental protection.
Jobs in business institutions. You will have the qualification required for working in companies involved in the restoration of damaged natural systems or promoting responsible trade.
